Dear members and guests of JCI Copenhagen International,

On January 11th, JCI Copenhagen International held its first Chapter meeting in 2012. We were discussing the art of networking and learning 8-step Tango. What has Tango to do with networking? Rune Lind Jensen, JCI Copenhagen International member of 2011, investigates - read his article "How is Tango related to Networking?" here on www.jcinyt.dk

Our new tradition brings you interesting reading. Nina Dadalauri, Local President, recommends the following on the theme on Networking:

1) Very well-written (In Danish) a summery by Soulaima Gourani on How To Network:

2) A good book on strategic networking written by Deloitte Consultant, Keith Ferrazzi (2005) 'Never Eat Alone'

JCI Copenhagen International was the organizer of the previous event in the Capital Region of JCI Denmark, which was held at Microsoft Denmark.

The agenda as well as the conference room was packed. Microsoft employees Jørgen Bardenfleth, Malou Aamund, Anna-Louise Plougmand and Christina Havning gave talks about leadership, social responsibility, Danish industry in the global market, job satisfaction, and cloud computing. Adela Michea was welcomed as a new member of JCI Copenhagen International. Fie Mulvad-Thiim was elected as the Vice President of the Capital Region of JCI Denmark in 2012. Signý Kristinsdóttir, Jesper Møller and Lone Friis participated in the regional finals of the Golden Microphone, and Signý was elected to represent the region in the national finals.

All in all, the event was a grand success thanks to the inspiring speakers, curious attendees, and the dedicated organizing committee.
